2/3 Yellow September Newsletter

SEPTEMBER
    The Second/Third Grade Yellow Team aka ”Minions” teachers  would like to welcome the children who are returning and the new children that will be joining us for a fun filled year!  Thourghout the school year the children will have the opportunity to interact with friends, as well as work on their homework and independent reading during a designated time while at HEDP.  
    The Yellow team is very excited about the upcoming school year and has planned activities that foster a positive learning environment.  During the first month of school the children will be participating in cooperative games and activities that will allow them to get to know each other and teach them how important it is for us to all work together and be good friends.  Over the past few years the Heath Community has fostered a positive relationship with the volunteer readers from the Chestnut Hill Belevolent Association, we are very excited to welcome them back for their  third year for weekly visits on Tuesday afternoons.

    Please feel free to bring in a change of clothes for your child, tucked in a large Ziploc bag and labeled. Also, please make sure that as the weather changes that children are dressing appropriately because we always go outside and enjoy some fresh air.
    
A couple of reminders this month…
Your child’s safety is one of our main priorities. To help us with this, please remember to sign your child out everyday. The sign out book will be located inside the cafeteria along with a note saying where the Yellow class are  at that time.

2:50-3:30  Outside

3:50-4:20  Reading/Homework time
4:20-5:30  Choice time
5:30  Clean-up/Rug time
5:45  HEDP is CLOSED
