Heath Extended Day 4/7 Newsletter What to look forward to in March It is the time of year for one of HEDP’s most requested activity... Wish Days! Each child has the opportunity to pick a special activity for their wish day! While some have chosen to have a pizza party and ice cream party, others have a huge interest in sports themed days or being the teacher for the day! We will grant each child’s wish in the month of March and April! We are so excited about all of the wonderful, thoughtful, and creative wishes the students have picked. This is the first year that having a wish of being teacher for the day has been so popular. Students that picked this wish are eager to use the walkie talkie, lead the meeting, and plan the activities and schedule for the day. We are also excited that those who chose a specific sport, extended it into a themed day based on the sport they chose. For instance, a wish for a baseball themed day will take place on Monday, April 3rd to coincide with the Red Sox home opener! As a reminder in advance, on any electronic’s wish day, students are not allowed to use a cell phone or take pictures on any device they bring in. HEDP will provide computers, ipad, and kindle for those who do not bring in an electronic from home. A notice will be provided in advance of any wish days that need advanced notification such as electronic’s day. In addition to wish days, we will continue to help students achieve their yearly goals! Spring Drama Club Spring has come to HEDP, and so has a new season of 4-7 Drama Club! We have switched the club meeting days to FRIDAYS, so that it can incorporate new students who were unable to attend on Wednesdays. Just as did the Autumnal production, we will spend 2 weeks crafting a story & script together so that the students may develop their own characters. We are excited to see what the students come up with! Whatever the final outcome, we will have fun rehearsing it for 4 weeks through April Vacation before starting set and stage design. Updates to come! Friendly Reminders Please remember that the sign out sheets are a legal document. We ask that you sign out child out on a daily basis!
