First Grade March 2015

Welcome to March! We hope all of you had a great snow filled February! We can’t believe it’s already March 2015 these past few months have just flown by!  In February, we enjoyed reading Flat Stanley and working on our Flat Stanley Project. We learned how to address and envelope, and lots of geography facts. It was fun to see all the pictures your children took with their Flats’.
This month we will focus on a number of the children’s goals that they determined in September. March goals will focus on cooking, drawing, and sports.  This month will also be centered around Dr. Seuss. We will be reading a different Dr. Seuss book each day, and doing activities that are comparable with the books we read i.e. making “green eggs and ham” and Oobleck.
We have special readers coming to our class every Tuesday this month.
Our class will also be watching  “The Lorax” this month permission slips are soon to come. 
A couple of reminders please sign your child out EVERYDAY! Please make sure your child has extra clothing (especially socks) as they may get wet while outside in the snow. All belongings left at extended will be taken to the lost and found at the end of each day!
