 Astonishing April
What has happened: March was magnificent! During the first week of the month, we focused on the letters N & O and we made noodle necklaces. The following week, during the week of letter P, we practiced acting out The Three Little Pigs. We then moved into quilt making during letter Q’s week. (We will soon be debuting the quilt with each child's patch). In the third week, letter R, we turned our dramatic play area into a science lab and we tested out what happens when we mix primary colors together. The last week, letter S, was dedicated to Outer Space! We added a few things to our science lab and transformed it into a space ship. We learned the names of the planets and also discovered how far away each planet is from the Sun. What is to come: April will include the letters T, U, V & W! Letter T’s week will be dedicated to trees and to how they change with the seasons as well as trains. Letter U will be dedicated to preparing for the Q & U wedding! (Invitation to follow later in the month). For the letter V & W, we will be learning about vegetables and worms. In particular, we will discuss how gardens need worms and we will also act out a play with worm sock puppets that we will be making in the art area. Wish list: Spare Socks for sock puppets! If you have any lone socks lingering donate them to us to upcycle and make sock puppets! Have an awesome April!
