Kindergarten's September Newsletter

Welcome Back! ​

Welcome back for another fabulous year in extended day!  We are so excited to work with and get to know your children! We have a lot of fun and exciting things planned. The first month will be dedicated to getting use to our classroom and classmates. Our goals for the first month is to get to know each other, the rules of the class, where things are located in the classroom, and our daily schedule. After we learn about each other we will then be learning about our families.

​Please remember to bring in a picture of your child and your family to share with the class and a set of spare clothes in a ziplock bag labeled with your child's name.
Meet Our Teaching Team!     

Angelica is starting her third year leading the PreK/K extended day room! This will be her sixth year with HEDP. Angelica graduated from Wheelock College in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Mathematics. She is really looking forward to meeting all the new students and growing with them throughout the year!
Kelly is starting her first year with HEDP. Kelly graduated from Brown University in 2014 where she received a degree in Education Studies and played varsity ice hockey. Kelly spent the last year with City Year in a Boston Public School and fell in love with working as an educator.  Kelly is looking forward to meeting all the students and families, as well as incorporating her passion for active play!
Christiane has a passion for working with children, sustainable foods and travel. This is her third year as PreK and K teacher.  She is working towards her masters in Early Childhood Education from Lesley. Christiane is looking forward to learning, teaching and sharing with your family in the upcoming year!
This is our first newsletter for the year so it will be printed and handed to you. All of the other newsletters will be emailed to you.
