Make Your Own Buses

Many of us have been on a school bus. Some of us take busses to school,
some of us take busses to camp or a field trip. Since we’re learning about
transportation, here is an activity that might inspire you to make your own
bus.

Many of you love painting, and are really into drawing people. You could also
simplify this project by cutting people or animals out from magazines – this
would be fun too! I can imagine a Double Decker London bus filled with
famous people, or a school bus with monkeys!
Just draw the shape of a bus on a sheet of paper and let your child paint in
the specific colour. Cut the windows out of a piece of paper (fold paper first
so it’s less work and the windows are more or less the same size). Draw faces
in the windows (or glue in faces from magazines). Cut a door and then draw
the driver and the steps! The wheels are just circles of black paper. Glue
everything, and presto! We love our busses!
